First Freedom Bank is proud to announce four staff promotions. These promotions are well-deserved, and a testimony to the bank’s strategy to educate and develop from within. We are honored to have such knowledgeable and industrious individuals on our team.
John Hawkins has been promoted to Vice President / Specialty Lending. John previously served as Assistant Vice President and Portfolio Manager. He joined the bank in February of 2014 and has fifteen years of banking experience. He is a 2007 graduate of Tennessee Tech with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a graduate of both the Southeastern School of Commercial Lending and of the Southeastern School of Advance Commercial Lending.
Blair Fry has been promoted to Bank Officer and will continue in her role as Credit Analyst. Blair joined the bank in February of 2019 as a Financial Service Representative at the Providence Office. In 2020, she was promoted first to FSR Manager and later to Personal Banker. She moved into her role as Credit Analyst in January of 2021. Blair graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minor in Business Administration.
Heather Spurlock has been promoted to Bank Officer and Portfolio Manager. Heather joined the bank in March of 2012 and previously served as an Administrative Assistant in the loan department. In 2021, she graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in Leadership / Management.
Ashley Montgomery has been promoted to Assistant Vice President and Providence Office Manager. Ashley joined the bank in 2015 as a Customer Service Representative at the Lebanon Office and soon after was promoted to Personal Banker at the Mt. Juliet office. In 2019, she was promoted to Senior Personal Banker and assumed an additional role as Retail Audit Supervisor. Ashley has completed over 70 hours of training with the American Bankers Association and has completed IRA training with the Tennessee Bankers Association. She has twelve years of retail banking experience.
